Legacy Resort Condominiums Palm Coast
Legacy has always been a tradition in our family. It was restarted in 2003, when we took our first trip to this location. We remembered a trail behind the resort and stumbled upon a charming gnome home, where past guests had left little trinkets in a tree.
While renting bikes on the property, we could ride straight from the resort onto the back end of a trail that overlooks the beautiful riverside along the Intracoastal Waterway.
That final day in April left us longing for more, as this resort is surrounded by miles of trails, all within walking distance. The natural scenery was breathtaking, and the wildlife abundant.
There are also several historic ruins to explore, as well as a boat tour that takes you to a private island with a fort. We did all of this while using a jogging stroller and a wheelchair, making the experience accessible for everyone.
Evenings were spent by the pool, where the guests were friendly and sociable. The staff were incredibly helpful, particularly with navigating chairs as I pushed my son's stroller. Any issue we encountered was quickly and kindly resolved, leaving us eager to return.
After more than 20 years of visiting, we've seen how the addition of new trails has enhanced the resort experience. We love the game rooms, workout areas, and the variety of activities like mini-golf, shuffleboard, basketball, and volleyball.
Although the pool can get crowded and lacks a walk-in entry, it does have a Hoyer lift for accessibility. Still, we found it a bit difficult to fully enjoy the pool with my son.
Overall, the resort is exceptionally clean. The two-bedroom apartment is stunning, complete with an oversized porch where you can enjoy breakfast while watching the sunrise or sunset. The fully-equipped kitchen includes everything you need, and there’s even a garden tub with a spa in the room.
It was both a romantic ( With very sweet and romantic hideas out Outside on the table's for a glass of wine with a fire) and also family-friendly vacation. The area is accommodating for people with wheelchairs or other disabilities, and if you visit the nearby beaches, don’t forget to ask about wheelchair-accessible beach strollers—they’ve got them available
